I tried this, the batteries alone were $10 each,the light bulb is from a 6 cell maglite & it melted the plastic reflector in the flashlight, dont waste your money!
Mine melted too! I don't know where to find a metal reflector.
Try this...... instead of trying to find a metal reflector, reduce the the batteries to 2 & cut a bolt to the size of the 3rd battery & wrap it with tape. it wont be as powerful but it is still a bright light.
Why not use LEDs?
Each Battery costs around $10. $30 in batteries alone.
