This Fourth of July, stock up on hot dogs, ice cream, and smartphones. Yep, this Independence Day is a surprisingly good time to get your hands on the iPhone SE. If you're interested, head to your nearest Best Buy to check out this major deal. (Or wait for the iPhone 8 to come out ...whenever that will be.)
Get your hand's on this little 4-inch smartphone for as low as $2.50 per month for 24 months. Compared to its initial price of $399 for the 16GB version, paying what comes out to roughly $60 seems outrageous. However, not everyone will get this insane deal. The price you'll pay depends on your carrier and the amount of storage you want on your phone.
Sprint users are the luckiest of the bunch for this sale, getting the biggest discounts. For the 16 GB version of the iPhone SE, you get the insane deal mentioned above: $2.50 a month on a 24-month installment plan. For the 32 GB version, pay just $6 a month under the same conditions. The 64 GB phone will cost you — get this — less than the 32 GB model at just $5 a month, and the 128 GB smartphone will run you only $10.41 a month. Too bad Sprint's deal for new customers giving them one year of free talk, text, and data just ended because now would be a good time to snatch up an iPhone SE and take advantage of both discounts.
For AT&T customers, you can get the iPhone SE 32 GB for $12 a month for 30 months on AT&T Next. This installment plan allows you to upgrade to a new smartphone every 2 years by trading in an eligible device. On this same installment plan, get the 128 GB version for $15.33 a month over 30 months.
If you're a Verizon user, you too get to cop an iPhone SE at a discounted price. For $12.45 a month for 24 months, you can pick up a 16 GB model. The 32 GB model costs $14.95 a month over the same time span, and the 128 GB model of the iPhone SE will cost Verizon customers $19.12 a month over 24 months.
Upon its release, the iPhone SE was positively received. Smaller and cheaper than traditional iPhones, the SE was found to perform just as well as the iPhone 6s. However, the SE does have a fairly low-resolution front camera, as well as old Touch ID hardware that's slower than the technology found on more recently-released iPhones. These factors could be a deal breaker for some, so make sure to research the phone before picking it up. It should also be noted that the phone is significantly smaller than most iPhones, although that's not necessarily a bad thing. Those of us with small hands can easily maneuver the iPhone SE, and you won't have to worry about it fitting in your pocket.
This deal is currently available and will run until 11:59 PM central standard time on July 4th. You can only take advantage of the deal at Best Buy, so don't make the mistake of going to your carrier in search of a discounted iPhone SE.
